Park your Electric Bike in Stockholm

To encourage more people to choose bikes, parking must be convenient. Stockholm is now increasing the number of bicycle parking spaces. Currently, there are 30,000 parking spaces in the city.

Stockholm City recommends parking your electric bike in a designated bicycle parking area or in one of the stands placed throughout the city. If no stand is available, it should be parked without blocking pedestrian or cycle paths. If there’s a prohibition sign, you’re not allowed to park in that location.  

When parking your bike, it can only remain in the same spot for 24 hours, otherwise the city may remove it.

Stockholm is Restructuring to Improve Conditions for Cyclists

Stockholm plans to restructure the city to improve cycling opportunities. The goal is that by 2030, 15% of all rush hour trips will be made by bicycle. You can already access Stockholm’s cycling plan (Open pdf).
